DAVIS, JR WINS TRACK CHAMPIONSHIP
& GOLD CARD

STEVE HARVEY DOUBLES-UP FOR 4K

John Davis, Jr took the overall Championship run-off win to score the Cedar Falls Raceway Track Championship and 2009 Gold Card this past Sunday, Sept 7 at the final CFR points race of the season. Davis stopped the re-surging Jeremy Bishop in the final round of the run-off as Bishop pushed the tree to hard with a -.001 red-light start.

In the big money Super Pro/Pro Class it was a red hot Steve Harvey who scored wins on both days to take home a cool total of $4,000. Harvey beat Jim McConeghey (Sat) and Joe Schmall (Sun).

The next big dollar race at Cedar Falls Raceway is Saturday and Sunday, Oct 4 & 5 featuring 2K & 5K races at the Terry Stumpf Memorial Event. Stumpf was from Cedar Falls and raced at all the area tracks including Cedar Falls Raceway in the 1970's and 80's until he was killed in a racing accident.
